Organizing a dodgeball tournament to raise money and promote awareness about cancer prevention isn’t exactly a common thing.

Did You Know?

In 2013, an estimated 1,500 people will die of cancer in the province.

How many players can I have on a team?

Teams will be made up of 5-10 players. Five players will compete on a side in a single game; others will be available as substitutes, moral support, coaches, or retrievers - those who track down balls when they bounce out of play and return them to their teammates so they can be thrown again. Not every team member has to play, but at least 5 players need to compete in all games.

How old do I need to be to play?

Dodge for a Cure has two divisions that offer the same amount of fun. We have the Fun Times (less competitive) and Bonzai (more competitive) divisions. You must be 12 years old to play in the Fun Times division and 16 to play in Bonzai.

How many gals and guys does a team need?

All you need is 5-10 players. Co-ed teams are encouraged, but not necessary.

Which division should I play in?

The goal of both divisions is to have fun. But Bonzai is a little more competitive than Fun Times. The decision itself is up to your team to decide.
